Checkpoint Universe

A migration adventure across the galaxy

Checkpoint Universe is a new immersive theatre show for children aged 6–10, created by migrant-led company 27 degrees and produced by Koro.

Set in a distant galaxy, young voyagers from different planets face a sudden call to leave their homes behind and embark on a journey across space toward an unknown world. As they navigate playful challenges and unfamiliar customs, they’re asked what it takes to belong - and what parts of their identity they are ready to leave behind.

Through games, immersive theatre, puppetry and a joyful final party, the show explores migration, identity, and community with imagination and care.

‍Project partners: Checkpoint Universe is currently in R&D, supported by The Albany, Jacksons Lane and Drayton Park Primary School. The show will be developed into a full production in 2026.
